Advice For Groups
Here is your indispensable guide to planning the perfect group day out at Alton Towers!
Practical advice:
- Promote your day out! To get as many people interested as possible, it's a good idea to send out invites or put up posters.
- You'll need to pre-book your tickets in advance to qualify for the discounted groups rate, so ask people to pay you their money upfront - this also makes sure people who say they want to come are actually committed!
- You'll need to arrange transport for everyone. Depending on the size of your party, you may decide to drive in your own cars, hire a minibus or coach, or travel by train. Click here for more information on the transport options.
- Why not buy a Fastrack ticket. Although they cost a bit extra, it could help reduce the amount of time you spend queuing. Click here for Fastrack ticket information.
- Plan when you're going to eat -especially if you're planning a visit to the theme park! There's plenty of places to choose from whether you fancy pizza, fresh fish and chips, something from the BBQ or chicken and ribs, there's a wide range of food outlets to choose from. Alternatively, why not arrange a group picnic in the gardens?
Helpful Tips:
- Make sure you plan your visit so that everyone gets to do something they'd like to. Alton Towers offers everything in one place - including the theme park, tropical indoor waterpark, a luxurious, fully equipped spa, plenty of places to eat, historic grounds complete with a lake, beautiful gardens and 19th century Gothic Towers, plus two fantastically-themed, on-site hotels if you fancy staying over as well as enjoying a round of Extraordinary Golf.
- Download our park map and plan out the details of your day on the theme park.
- Enjoy a get together! Even if you split up into smaller groups on the theme park, why not plan an activity that the whole group will enjoy together? Like a picnic in the gardens or a tour of the Towers.
- Avoid going on 'wet' rides just before you've got to get back in your car or on public transport!
- Ask to have your park souvenirs or gifts sent to Towers Trading! Pick them up at the end of the day - rather than carrying them around with you.
